Clarissa Thaems is the real name of Waxgirl!, sidekick of Gravestone, and the first known Cape.
Bio
For most of her life growing up, Clarissa was a catatonic schizophrenic who was kept under watch at Rhenderelli Asylum. It wasn’t until 1988 that Hazdon Industries stepped forward in an attempt to cure her state. Using Formula 626, created by Mitchell Falcone, the procedure went off without a hitch and Clarissa had awakened from her catatonic state, feeling better than ever. However, as the weeks went by she started noticing side effects to her “cure”. She soon found that her skin had taken on the qualities of wax. Instead of being furious with Hazdon and their scientists, Clarissa was happy to be alive and upbeat.
In 1989, she was released from Rhenderelli Asylum and started living as regular of a life as she could. In 1996, she tracked down vigilante Gravestone and presented herself as Waxgirl! (sans the !, which was added two days later). Clarissa still uses her normal name during the daytime as her alter ego.
