The Emergence From Dimly Lit Locations is a short story featuring the creation of Gravestone.

Plot

The future Gravestone awakens in a dark, underground cavern with no memory of who he is or his past. He soon finds out that he's a Nectite, an undead species who was brought back to (partial) life by an unknown force buried deep within Cambiare Rock. Learning to control his abilities, he decides to turn to a life of crime fighting, helping those who need it around the city, and stopping those looking to exploit them.
