Immigrated to the states in 1914 with her family. Her family settled on the land that eventually would become New Prairie in 1917. Her father, Nucci Balfone, became mayor of the newly founded town in 1918. Sofia became the fancy of Stewart Filcher who overtime became her friend. In January of 1929, Stewart presented a gift to her and asked her if she would marry him. Knowing her father would say no, she turned him down and went home. She along with the rest of her family was murdered in 1929 by the soon to be urban legend Dark Killer.
