Baysquatch was a single season television show that featured Sasquatch as a lifeguard on a Santa Monica beach.
Premise
Sasquatch makes his way down from Washington state and finds himself in Santa Monica where he reveals that he can speak and understand humans. He manages to get a job working as a lifeguard of a local beach and uses his animal instincts to help solve crimes and mysteries happening across the beach.
Production
After the initial success of the television show BAYWATCH, FOX started looking for a version of their own to air. Spencer Townsend pitched his concept to the channel by saying only one sentence: "Bigfoot meets the beach". The channel greenlit the production immediately.

Reception
The show was given negative reviews after episode three, however the network continued to air the episodes until it's second season. Just prior to the premiere of Season 2, an organization boycotted the show causing it to be pulled before the episodes aired. The six episodes produced of Season 2 never aired.
