The First Survivor is a psychological horror interlude novella set entirely within a single 18-hour block on August 19, 1995. Serving as the direct connective tissue between Farm Life's A Killer (the movie) / Farm Life's A Killer (the novella) and FLAK 3: The Asylum), the story shifts perspectives away from the teenagers to explore the institutional skepticism, systemic gaslighting, and bureaucratic framing that occurred immediately following the Martini Farm Massacre. It is narrated by Sergeant Jake Morris, an old-school police officer whose desperate need to preserve his own comfortable reality leads him to execute a major cover-up of supernatural evidence.
Plot
