Barbara Roche is a former news reporter, current owner of WNPX Channel 4 out of New Prairie. She is the biggest supporter of Capes in the Midwest, using their abilities to help grow WNPX and its sister news companies into one of the largest in the country.
Bio
Barbara met Clive Kaden and used her powers to convince him to be romantically involved with her. Slowly, her control over him faded, causing both their personal and work life to fall apart. They broke up, and Clive quit his job, leaving Barbara alone. In 2019, Barbara asked Clive to meet with her, which resulted in a fight and caused Clive, using his hidden telekinesis powers, to crush and nearly kill Barbara. Clive left the scene before Barbara was suddenly revived.
Barbara, whose personality had changed, returned to WNPX where she confronted her late-working boss in his office. Barbara said she wanted to become the channel's owner and calmly demanded that it be turned over to her. When she was denied (and ultimately fired), Barbara discovered her new powers, causing her boss to burst into flames and pushing him through the window. Her quick cunning led her to spin the story of the death to be caused by Clive himself.
Barbara would become the head CEO and owner of WNPX shortly thereafter.
