Foolish Creeper is the eleventh album released by Foolish Creeper.

Production

While touring on their Inside Out II-er, the band found themselves writing new songs and trying them out in front of live audiences, often admitting they had barely finished the song backstage. By the end of the tour, the band had completed nearly 26 new songs, all of which they decided to record in the studio.

During production, Denis Porter and Lauren Jensen ran into Victor Morgan, who showed interest in possibly recording a song with the band for their next album. Together with the rest of the band, they wrote a new song that would become the opening track.

There was some debate among the group as to which song they would cover for this album, continuing their longstanding tradition of doing so. It came down a decision between "The Rose", best covered by Bette Midler in 1980, or "Last Kiss", made popular by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers in 1964. The decision was to go with a more "positive" song as it resonated more with the band's history and growth as members came and went.

"The Rose" was the last song recorded for the new album and despite Victor Morgan not performing on it, he was in the control booth listening as the band played it live in a single take. There's rumors that the subtle crying in the background after the song ends is actually Morgan, though nothing has come out to prove that.
