Tessio Bellini was the father of famed gangster Sonny Bellini and his two brothers Rocco and Carlo Bellini.
Bio
Immigrating & Hard Times
Tessio immigrated from Tetalia, Italy to New York City in 1923 with his mother and two older siblings. His mother died in 1928 after being raped in the back alley, 2 blocks from the small, one room apartment they had been living in. Tessio was forced to fend for himself after both his older siblings left to find jobs, never to return. Tessio met his future wife Rosary Coccerelli in 1952.
Death
Tessio died in 1973 of a heart attack just prior to Sonny fleeing the city in an attempt to save his life.
