The Vicci are the original species of evil that ultimately became the source of evil throughout the world.

Backstory

The Vicci's origins are from the dawn of time, being the result of the first entity to perish. As millennia continued, so did their growing force.

9600 BCE & Atlantis

The Vicci found their home on the lost continent of Atlantis, an island full of life. Their powers grew strong, and soon, the humans who lived amongst them retaliated and set out to bring an end to them and their species. Together, the humans tunneled deep beneath the surface and, using their advancements in explosive devices, caused a chain reaction that would trigger a massive collapse of the fault line upon which the island rested.

The explosion caused the fault line to open, ultimately swallowing the entire continent within the depths of the Earth. All who lived on the island, both human and Vicci, succumbed to the waters and crushing pressure of the water as they were pulled below the surface.

However, one Vicci managed to survive the ordeal by channeling its essence into that of a nearby deep-sea anglerfish. Using its ability to escape the island, it fled across the oceans to a nearby continent, where a local fisherman caught it. It possessed the human form, and from there, it slowly began to regrow the population of Vicci over the next 10,000 years.
