J.P. Derelli was a multi-millionaire who owned and operated the numerous branches of JP Loans as well as the financial backer of The Derelli Towers.

J.P. Derelli made his first million by opening a Loan Office that lent to anyone, regardless of their financial situation or assets. Over the next 10 years, it opened 35 more branches of JP Loans across the eastern seaboard. Moved to New Prairie after the great fire of 1976 to help fund and rebuild the city.
